FOREST STEWARDSHIP PLANS – This should be the first step in managing your forest property. The stewardship plan is a written management plan for your land detailing how you should proceed to accomplish your forest management objectives. The plan includes a description of your forest resources, management recommendations for specific forest areas or stands, and a map of your woodlands. The Kentucky Forest Stewardship Program is administered by the Kentucky Division of Forestry. As a consulting forester eligible to prepare these plans I can provide this service free of charge to any Kentucky landowner with 10 or more acres of forestland. Certain restriction apply.

TIMBER APPRAISALS – When a parcel of forest land is being prepared for sale or considered for purchase it is important to have both the land and timber appraised. An inventory including tree species, volumes, and current market values can be completed using the most accurate and up to date timber sampling methods.

TIMBER SALES – Having your timber marked and sold by a qualified consulting forester is the best way to obtain the best possible price. A consulting forester works for you, the landowner, to see that your interests are protected and your timber is professionally harvested.

TIMBER TRESPASS & EXPERT WITNESS TESTIMONY – Has timber been stolen from your property? Did you know you may be able to recover triple damages if the people who illegally removed your trees didn’t give you prior notification of their intention to harvest trees next to your boundary? A complete appraisal of the volume and value of the trees removed can be performed and expert witness testimony is available.
